[K-Beauty Real Gems] Global K-Beauty Short Form (Reels) PD (Planning, Filming, Editing)
About the company
K-Beauty Real Gems (KRG) is an English K-beauty media created in Seoul. Centered around Instagram @kbeauty.real.gems, it delivers K-beauty news and insights from Korea to 110,000 followers in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia. Overseas consumers still receive K-beauty news several months late through foreign media. In the meantime, rankings change in Korea, Olive Young displays are rearranged, and lines form in front of pharmacies in Seongsu. KRG captures these scenes directly from Seoul. Position Introduction We are looking for a short-form PD to lead KRG's reels. The most popular reels at KRG have all been filmed on-site in Seoul. These are scenes that can only be seen by coming to Korea, such as pharmacies, stores, pop-ups, and clinic streets. For the next six months, we will focus solely on this direction, with the PD taking charge of everything from planning to filming and editing.
Responsibilities
• Planning, shooting, and editing on-site reels in Seoul (2-3 per week) • Pre-research and scouting of shooting locations (stores, pharmacies, pop-ups, clinics, etc.) • Editing process including the first 3-second hook, cut pacing, and subtitle composition • Analyzing views, saves, and shares after publication to reflect in the next planning • Collaborating with the content team for English scripts and subtitles (fact-checking and review of overseas advertising regulations will be handled by the team)
Requirements
• Over 1 year of experience in planning, shooting, and editing short-form content (Reels, TikTok, Shorts) • Proficient in video editing tools (CapCut, Premiere Pro, etc.) • Able to explain in their own words the difference between videos that are watched until the end and those that are skipped • Available for on-site shooting in various locations in Seoul • Capable of reading and reviewing English subtitles / Able to write English copy independently
