In Korea, some foreigners holding certain residence statuses who work in Korea must report employment-related information such as occupation, industry, and annual income. This is a legal obligation under the Immigration Control Act, and you must report it when registering as a foreign resident or whenever your employment information changes.
Previously, you had to visit an immigration office (Immigration/Foreigners Office) in person and submit a paper report. However, starting January 2, 2026, online reporting will be available through the HiKorea website.
This will allow you to report employment information more conveniently.
Method 1: If you only need to report employment information
HiKorea website > Civil Service Application > e-Civil Service Application > Report Employment Information (Change)
Method 2: If you plan to visit an immigration office anyway
HiKorea website > Visit Reservation > Apply for a Reservation
If you plan to visit the immigration office for other services—such as extending your stay or changing your status—you can report your employment information together on the reservation application screen.
If you fall under an eligible residence status, the reporting screen will appear automatically when you apply for a visit reservation, so you do not need to search for the menu separately.
