  Employment and Residency Support

  

  Support for foreign workers is available through various organizations, including Korea's Ministry of Employment and Labor, Ministry of Justice, agencies in the sending country, Employment Permit System (EPS) agencies, and nonprofit organizations supporting foreign workers

    Like Korean workers, foreign workers can seek assistance from institutions such as the Ministry of Employment and Labor, the Labor Relations Commission, and the courts in the event of issues such as violations of labor laws.

    The Ministry of Employment and Labor provides illegal residency prevention education upon arrival and operates return support programs such as departure guidance and settlement programs for workers nearing the end of their stay.

    The Foreign Worker Support Centers (44 locations nationwide) offer counseling, Korean language classes, and legal education on daily life. They also provide grievance support through the Foreign Workforce Counseling Center (1577-0071).

    Employers are monitored annually to ensure compliance with labor conditions and proper residential environments.

    Training programs are available for those interested to improve job skills and workplace adaptation, as well as to prepare for reemployment after returning to their home country. These programs are offered through the nationwide Foreign Worker Support Centers.
