Details of E9 Employment-Eligible Service Industries

Specific Industry Qaulifications
Construction Waste Disposal Business
Refrigerated and Frozen Warehouse Business Only businesses located in inland areas are eligible.
Hotel Business Employment is only permitted for businesses located in Seoul, Busan, Gangwon, and Jeju, and limited to building cleaners and kitchen assistants.
Resort Condominium Business
Hostel Business (Other general living and lodging facility operations)
Korean Food Restaurants
  • Employment is permitted only for kitchen assistant roles in restaurants located within designated pilot areas allowing foreign workers in the food service industry.
  • For businesses with fewer than 5 domestic employees: The business must have been operating for at least 7 years.
    For businesses with 5 or more domestic employees: The business must have been operating for at least 5 years.
  • Businesses with fewer than 5 employees can hire up to 1 worker. Businesses with 5 or more employees can hire up to 2 workers.
Recycling Material Collection and Sales Business
Publishing of Books, Magazines, and Other Printed Materials
Music and Other Audio Publishing Business
Food and Tobacco Brokerage Business
