• Issuance of Employment Permit

    • Evaluation scores are calculated based on the following categories as of 24:00 on the day after the Employment Permit application deadline:

      • No Criteria Points
        1 The fewer foreign workers currently employed compared to the allowed number of foreign employees, the higher the score. 22.4 ~ 30 points
        2 The higher the number of foreign workers whose employment contracts expired within the past six months, the higher the score. 22.4 ~ 30 points
        3 The fewer new foreign workers being applied for, the higher the score. 19–20 points (Manufacturing Industry), 15–20 points (Minor Industries)
        4 The more domestic workers recommended by the Employment Center hired during the domestic recruitment effort period, the higher the score. 14~20points (Manufacturing Industry), 18~20 points (Minor Industries)
      • No Criteria Points
        1 Businesses adhering to the standard labor contract guidelines in the agriculture, livestock, and fisheries sectors 0.5 ~ 2.5 points
        2 Businesses with excellent dormitory facilities (as selected by the relevant labor office or agricultural business site 5 points (valid for up to 2 years)
        3 Completion of employer training conducted by the Human Resources Development Service of Korea (HRD Korea) in the previous year 2 points
        4 Businesses with full enrollment and payment for repatriation cost insurance and accident insurance for all workers 1.5 points
        5 Recognition of risk assessment or certification under the Safety and Health Management System (KOSHA 18001) 3 points each
      • No Criteria Points
        1 Workplaces where a fatal industrial accident occurred due to a violation of safety and health obligations 10 points
        2 Workplaces that violated labor laws, such as sexual assault, physical assault, verbal abuse, sexual harassment, or wage arrears 5~10 points
        3 Workplaces with workers who transferred due to the employer's fault 5~10 points
        4 Workplaces with violations identified during site inspections conducted by the Employment Center in the previous year (excluding non-enrollment in accident insurance) 0.5~5 points
        5 Workplaces with two or more delayed payments for departure guarantee insurance premium 1~5 points (per person)
        6 Workplaces not meeting dormitory facility standards (per item) Up to 10 points (for 1 year)
        7 Workplaces that failed to submit dormitory information or provided false information 3 points each (for 1 year)
        8 Workplaces that concealed industrial accidents or violated reporting obligations in the past 2 years 5 points each
        9 Workplaces that violated the Livestock Infectious Disease Prevention Act 1~5 points
