    Apostille Certification

    • 1)

What is the Apostille Convention? The Apostille Convention simplifies the authentication of public documents exchanged between member countries by eliminating complex procedures such as consular verification. Instead, the issuing country legalizes and guarantees the document’s authenticity through an Apostille certification.

For member countries of the Apostille Convention, academic documents must be authenticated with an Apostille certificate issued by a designated authority in the student’s home country.

    Consular Verification

For non-Apostille member countries, academic documents must undergo consular verification at the Republic of Korea's diplomatic mission (embassy or consulate) in the student’s home country. The process varies by country. For detailed procedures, refer to the linked guide for Vietnam. Updates for other countries will be provided in the future.
