• D-4-1 (Language Training) Visa Extension Guide

    If you wish to continue residing in Korea, you must obtain an extension of your stay before the expiration of your current stay period.

      • Exceptions may be granted in cases of unavoidable circumstances such as illness or accidents.

      • A representative from your training institution can apply on your behalf. The representative must be a staff member of the organization where you are studying. Most extensions are processed through a representative.

      • Documents such as transcripts, attendance records, etc.

        ※ If attendance is below 70%, a handwritten explanation in Korean or English must be submitted.

      • Only domestic accounts are accepted, with a balance of at least 5.5 million KRW.

      • Documents such as lease agreements, accommodation confirmation letters, utility bills, or dormitory fee receipts.

      • Power of attorney, employment certificate of the representative, copy of the representative's ID, and a copy of the applicant’s passport or Alien Registration Card.

    • In-person application: 60,000 KRW Online application: 50,000 KRW
