D-4 Visa
Applying for a visa using the Certificate of Visa Issuance allows for a simplified and expedited process. This method minimizes the required documents for students and speeds up the visa issuance process.
Issuance of Certificate of Visa Issuance
Applicant
The international student coordinator at the admitting university (Although students can apply directly, it is usually handled collectively by the coordinator.)
Application Method
The student or the university's international student coordinator submits the application in person at the immigration office or foreigner service center with jurisdiction over the university's location.
For branch campuses, the application must be submitted to the office covering the branch's location.

Standard admission certificate (form here)
Can be omitted if pre-registered in the Korean Student Information System (FIMS). For government-invited scholarship students, the invitation letter from NIIED suffices.
Proof of financial ability (View details)
Family relationship certificate (if submitting proof of parents’ financial ability)
Copy of the student’s passport
Study Plan (Including Lecture Schedule, Instructor Profiles, and Training Facilities)
Copy of the educational institution’s business registration certificate (or unique identification number certificate)
Proof of final academic qualifications (View details)
Original documents preferred; if copies are submitted, they must be certified as true copies by the relevant official.
Passport photo file (white background, taken within the last 6 months)
Completion of Certificate Issuance
The university’s international student coordinator sends the Certificate of Visa Issuance or its code to the student. The student uses this certificate/code to easily apply for the visa.

Original passport and a copy (valid for at least 6 months)
One passport photo (white background, taken within the last 6 months)
Certificate of Visa Issuance code or the Certificate of Visa Issuance itself
Tuberculosis test certificate from a designated hospital (issued within the last 3 months)
Copy of both sides of the national ID card

Visa issuance fee: $50
Additional fees for visa application center: 390,000 VND

Application Procedure
Receive the Certificate of Visa Issuance from the university and visit the nearest consulate or visa application center to apply.
Make an appointment in advance and complete the visa application form beforehand for faster processing.
Visa issuance typically takes 7 business days. Visa status can be checked through the Korea Visa Portal under the application status menu.
