• Visa Application via Certificate of Visa Issuance

    Applying for a visa using the Certificate of Visa Issuance allows for a simplified and expedited process. This method minimizes the required documents for students and speeds up the visa issuance process.

      • The international student coordinator at the admitting university (Although students can apply directly, it is usually handled collectively by the coordinator.)

        • Can be omitted if pre-registered in the Korean Student Information System (FIMS). For government-invited scholarship students, the invitation letter from NIIED suffices.

        • Original documents preferred; if copies are submitted, they must be certified as true copies by the relevant official.

      • The university’s international student coordinator sends the Certificate of Visa Issuance or its code to the student. The student uses this certificate/code to easily apply for the visa.
