For E-7-1, if annual income is 1.5 times or more of South Korea’s Gross National Income (GNI) per capita (approximately 54,000$ of 2024) and recommended by the relevant minister, both academic and experience requirements may be waived.
If the total annual salary is 3 times or more of South Korea’s GNI per capita (approximately 108,000$ of 2024), all requirements regarding academic background, experience, and employment recommendation may be waived.

After working as an intern in the relevant field for at least one year with D-10-3 status in South Korea, and if employed in the same field with a salary equal to or higher than the previous year’s per capita GNI. (approximately 36,000$ of 2024)
Eligible for visa change when employed in a relevant field if they meet one of the following conditions:
- Japanese nationals holding qualifications recognized by CAIT or JITEC.
