Limited activities outside the scope of the designated visa status are permitted, as outlined below.

  Additional Permitted Activities

  Activities related to fishing operations such as drying, packaging, and other work directly connected to handling the catch, as classified under E-9 (Non-Professional Employment).

  Requirements for Approval

  • 1)

    The original employer and the employer at the new worksite for the additional activity must be the same entity.

  • 2)

    The work must be directly related to production activities for the sale of the catch after harvesting.

  Duration of Permission

  Only allowed during fishing operations. The total duration of additional activities cannot exceed one-third of the total authorized stay period.

• 4

  Quota

  The number of foreign seafarers engaged in these additional activities cannot exceed one-third of the foreign crew working on the vessel.
