E-7 Extension of Stay Period

Foreign nationals wishing to stay in Korea beyond their previously authorized period of stay must obtain an extension of stay permit.

  • E-7 For E-7 visa holders, an extension of stay is possible if the initial visa requirements are still met. In particular, the following conditions should be carefully checked:

  • The report must be submitted in person at the jurisdictional Immigration Office/Foreigners’ Office (office/branch) from four months before the visa expiration date until the expiration date. If the extension permit application is submitted after the expiration date, a fine will be imposed.

    • - Certificate of Income (issued by tax office) or Statement of Withholding Tax on Wage Income (issued by employer)
