Submit the application in person at the Immigration Office or Immigration Branch Office with jurisdiction over the inviting company’s location. Online applications through theVisa Portal are allowed only for exceptional cases where the applicant is recognized as a Gold Card talent by relevant ministries (e.g., KOTRA, Korea SMEs and Startups Agency. When applying online with a Gold Card employment recommendation, other required attachments are exempted except for the Employment Recommendation Letter.)

Application for Certificate of Visa Issuance, a copy of the foreign worker’s passport, and one standard-sized photograph of the worker.

Documents related to the establishment of the institution: Business registration certificate, unique identification number certificate, or foreign-invested company registration certificate, etc.

A copy of the standard employment contract for the foreign worker.

National tax payment certificate and local tax payment certificate.

(Important) Documents to prove the necessity of foreign employment:

Letter of Guarantee.

Documents proving qualifications (to be provided by the worker): Degree certificate, employment certificate, resume, certificates of qualification (if applicable).

If the applicant is not the company representative (but an employee or proxy), include a power of attorney, certificate of employment for the proxy, and a copy of the proxy’s ID card.

The suitability of the employing company and the worker will be checked, and the necessity of foreign employment will be reviewed to approve the visa issuance.

Immigration offices may request additional documents to verify the authenticity of the employment, company qualifications, and worker credentials.

Deliver the Certificate of Visa Issuance to the foreign worker via email or other means. The worker will use the certificate to apply for a visa.

The status of the application can be checked via the Visa Portal or ARS (02-2660-6363). Results will be communicated via email or text message once available.
